Desde su más tierna infancia fue un personaje peculiar. Sus raras aficiones y su tendencia a perderse durante días enteros llenaban de temor a amigos y familiares. Subir a los árboles, explorar selvas incógnitas, surcar mares desconocidos en un velero bergantín... nada le parecía falto de interés, todo debía experimentarse al menos una vez en la vida. Hermano de sangre del wéndigo canadiense, ha probado la iguana asada de Centroamérica y conoce el silencio de los templos tibetanos. Le gusta escuchar el viento en los acantilados, y cree que las nubes revelan todas las verdades del mundo si se observan con atención.

Nartens behauptet, dass er den Jeti und Alf kennengelernt hat. Anscheinend verfügt er über unbekannte Mächte und hat ständigen Kontakt zu Außerirdischen. Wenn er Percussion spielt, sagt man, dann kommuniziert er mit Wesen aus anderen Dimensionen.
